Barangay Cannery Site celebrates its founding anniversary every September 1st and this 2008 celebration also marks the first celebration of Pinyahan Festival.
Pinyahan Festival founded by Barangay Captain Mariano Superioridad in September 2008 was called "Pinyahan" because it symbolizes the main crop production "pinya" (pineapple in English term) which has become the main sources of economic opportunities within. Dole Philippines, Inc. which has been operating since 1963, a producer of canned pineapple, and pineapple based beverages and of high quality fruits, nuts, and vegetables has become the main source of job opportunities of the inhabitants of Barangay Cannery. From now on, the people of Barangay will be celebrating the Pinyahan Festival and would be a traditional celebration of the upcoming foundation anniversaries.
